TAIPEI, Jan. 19, 2026 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Videoland Inc. (Videoland) today announced that the first NBA Rising Stars Invitational Taiwan Regional Qualifier, which will determine the boys’ and girls’ high-school teams that will represent Taiwan at the 2026 NBA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore this summer, will be held Friday, April 3 - Sunday, April 5 at New Taipei City Banqiao Gymnasium. The NBA Rising Stars Invitational is the league’s first regional high-school basketball tournament and features boys’ and girls’ teams from across Asia-Pacific.

The top four boys’ teams and top four girls’ teams from the final fours of Taiwan’s High-School Basketball League (HBL) will participate in the three-day, single-elimination tournament, with the winning boys’ and girls’ teams advancing to the 2026 NBA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore. The players will also take part in skill development and social impact programming featuring appearances by a former NBA player, an NBA coach and an NBA dance team who will be announced prior to the event.
Last month, Videoland announced a multiyear expansion of its existing multimedia collaboration with the NBA to deepen their engagement with fans in Taiwan. As the league’s Official Multi-Media Partner in Taiwan, Videoland continues to broadcast live NBA games and has an expanded role in the league’s commercial development efforts in the market.
